Carmel Rooney

Carmel Rooney is an Irish modern artist who is located at 10 Castle Street, Athlone Co. Westmeath Ireland, initially at the Village at Burgess, lloyds lane Athlone. Her work is inspired by the River Shannon and her surrounding environment. She works in acrylics and inks on paper and canvas and has developed her own style since working in this medium since 2006. Rivers produce power, colour, directions, energy that allow her to create exciting strokes and shapes which forms an almost theatrical dance. She uses palette knife and impasto. Her shop has a working studio at rear. All artwork is scanned and printed at the Copper house Dublin. Limited edition signed and stamped Giclee prints are available online and at her shop. Postcards are available of historical Athlone and local pubs…Art classes will commence in September.
