The original painting is framed and hanging in Peadars bar in the town of moate Co Westmeath Ireland. Located 10 miles from Athlone . This bar is a great example of old ireland with its quirky ornaments and decor. It has a very warm welcoming stove at the rear oof pub that makes you feel right at home.
The name An Móta is derived from the term motte-and-bailey, as the Normans built an example of this type of fortification here. The earthwork is still visible behind the buildings on the main street. The town later became an important marketplace and Quaker village. To the rear of peadars bar is an old quaker graveyard.
